4XXX digital thyristor converters are designed for precision speed, torque, or position control of independently excited DC motors for main and feed drives.
Depending on their functionality, 4XXX converters are divided into four series:
4XXX-XXX-1X series - basic series with speed and torque control;
4XXX-XXX-2X series - series with position control from an internal reference and with MODBUS;
4XXX-XXX-3X series - series with position control from an internal reference, with MODBUS, and with active mechanical backlash compensation;
4XXX-XXX-4X series - series with position control from an internal reference, with position control using a pulse reference, and with active mechanical backlash compensation.
General functionality of 4XXX converters:
The converter's power unit is implemented using a three-phase antiparallel bridge circuit with separate control;
Precision four-quadrant control of DC motors with independent excitation for the main and feed drives;
Main converter operating modes:
Speed control;
Torque control;
Position control with internal position reference;
Position control with external pulse position reference.
